Meet Dr. Patrick M. O'Meara, MD

Dr. Patrick O'Meara earned his medical degree at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, Dr. O'Meara completed an orthopaedic residency at the University of Kansas. The training in Kansas utilized two surgical reconstruction centers that performed high volumes of joint replacements and ligament reconstructions. Dr. O'Meara was awarded the Mid-America Orthopaedic Residency Award which allowed him to receive further training at Campbell Clinic in sports medicine including specialized arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and knee.

Dr. O'Meara established his private practice in Escondido and founded Palomar Orthopaedic Specialists in 1992. While utilizing his expert training, experience, and the latest technology, Dr. O'Meara also collaborates with other orthopedic specialists at Palomar Health Orthopedic & Spine Center to achieve optimal results for each patient.

Dr. O'Meara believes that patients schedule "doctor appointments" for the purpose of being treated by a doctor. He believes that patients deserve one on one attention from a doctor who personally performs all examinations, assessments, procedures, surgeries, hospital care and follow-ups.

Dr. O'Meara provides general orthopaedic care as well as highly specialized care in joint replacement and sports medicine. He treats arthritis, sports injuries, fractures, sprains, tendonitis and bursitis... He utilizes both non-operative management and state-of-the-art surgical procedures in order to provide optimum correction and cures.
