Dr. Jeffrey Mjaanes serves as medical director of the Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic at Rush, where one of his primary areas of interest in research is prevention and treatment of sports-related concussion and traumatic brain injuries. He sees young athletes from all sports, including gymnastics, wrestling, soccer and football, and is the head physician for the DePaul University Blue Demons. Dr. Mjaanes has been one of the team physicians for the United States Soccer Federation and serves as part of the medical staff for USA Rugby, working with the Men’s National Team, the Eagles. Dr. Mjaanes completed a clinical rotation at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California and has been credentialed to work with US Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Dr. Mjaanes also sits on the Board of Directors for NOCSAE, the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment and is a member of their research committee.
